On December 5, 2024, Vietnam and NVIDIA signed an agreement to establish an AI R&D Center and an AI Data Center to promote the application of artificial intelligence and create more job opportunities for the local workforce.
The Vietnam Research and Development Center for Artificial Intelligence (Vietnam Research and Development Center - VRDC) and the AI Data Center are expected to serve as a foundation for NVIDIA and its local partners to deploy advanced AI technologies.

The cooperation, taking place just over a year later, is considered an important milestone, reflecting Mr. Huang’s strong determination and commitment to making Vietnam NVIDIA’s “second home,” guided by the spirit of “say what you do, honor what you promise, and deliver concrete results.”

Meanwhile, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung described the event as “a historic turning point for Vietnam,” marking a new direction for NVIDIA and positioning Vietnam as a leading AI research and development hub in Asia.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA possesses a technology platform that has attracted global attention. The two centers will utilize solutions provided by the company. This cooperation is expected to help Vietnam not only achieve its development goals in high-tech industries, particularly in AI, but also contribute to positioning Southeast Asia as a destination for innovation.
