CEO Tim Cook Confirms Vietnam Will Mass Produce Multiple Apple Products

During the financial results announcement on May 1, 2025, Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that a large portion of products such as iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and AirPods sold in the United States in the second quarter of this year will be imported from Vietnam. This move is part of Apple’s supply chain adjustment strategy aimed at optimizing costs and improving production stability.

Meanwhile, the iPhone - Apple’s flagship product line - will be primarily manufactured in India.

Products such as iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and AirPods sold in the United States during the second quarter of this year will be imported from Vietnam.

The report also showed strong business performance for Apple in the first quarter of 2025, with revenue reaching 95.36 billion USD, up 5% compared to the same period last year, and profit totaling 24.78 billion USD. iPhone sales remained the leading contributor, generating 46.84 billion USD in revenue. Meanwhile, the services segment, including App Store, Apple Music, and Apple Pay, also recorded 11.6% growth, reaching 26.65 billion USD.

Apple stated that expanding production in Vietnam and India will help the company become more flexible with its supply chain and better meet U.S. market demand in the coming period.
